David is a successful professional with a wealth of business skills gained in running his own company in the IT sector. He consistently delivers complex projects within demanding time and cost constraints and has applied that drive and determination into the setting up of Hawk and Peddle.
He is married with 3 children and he lives on the South Coast of the UK. Being so fortunate to live in such proximity to the sea, he has taken up the leisure activity of sailing, having previously been keen on kayaking, canoeing, golf and badminton. We’re still not sure where golf comes into the seafaring life but can only assume he is good at retrieving lost golf balls from the pond.
In a past life David trained as an actor and theatre director where he began his early career as a budding thespian. These day’s he is more interested in attending the theatre as an audience member and he is also working on a screenplay, time permitting. His earlier career has led him to undertake many different roles and jobs and as a result he relates on a personal level across the board and tries to utilise those experiences in Hawk and Peddle. Here are just some of the jobs he has undertaken over the past 30 years:
- Hospital Porter
- Theatre Technician in orthopaedics
- Bakery Sales assistant
- Entertainer, Comedy
- IT Support Trainer
- Social Worker
- Contemporary applied art sales & marketing
- Contracts Manager
Here’s a sneak preview into his personality….
Wanting to be the best he could when playing badminton as a leisure activity, on realising that he needed to learn new skills and have some professional training, he decided
“I’m not paying a fortune for someone just to teach me…I am going to become a coach and take the formal exams.”
